Deaf Arts Residency Incorporated (“Deaf Arts Residency”, “Dare”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is an incorporated association based in Victoria, Australia (Association No. A0126812O; ABN 95 379 383 840). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information we hold. This policy explains what we collect, why, how we handle it, and the choices you have. The personal information we collect
When you visit this website. Our website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and has no contact or sign-up forms. Our web host automatically records standard server-log information for security and reliability — your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and the date and time. We do not use this information to identify individuals.
When you buy tickets to our events. Ticket sales are handled by Humanitix. When you buy a ticket you provide your details directly to Humanitix under their privacy policy. We receive attendee information (such as your name and email) from Humanitix so we can manage the event and contact attendees.
When you become a member or contact us. If you join as a member or volunteer, or get in touch with us, we collect the details you give us — typically your name, email address, phone number, and any information relevant to your involvement. As an incorporated association we are required by law to keep a register of our members.
If you join our mailing list. We may introduce an email mailing list. If you subscribe, we will collect your name and email address to send you updates about Dare, and you can unsubscribe at any time. Email delivery would be handled by a third-party provider on our behalf.
Photography and video at events. We sometimes record photos and video at our events and performances for documentation and promotion. Where you are identifiable we seek your consent, and you can ask us not to use a particular image.
